Hello. Hope you and yours are well.

Given the times, my team and I have been hesitant to send out an update about our work. But we decided to reach out because, ultimately, we all know it’s about more than the work. It’s about sticking together and standing strong for the fight — whether standing up for social justice or advocating for a more sustainable future. With resilience, acceptance, empathy, and perspective, all of us at Meyer Studio send our best.

Here’s what we’ve been up to in the public and private realm.

Heartwood Greenways and Stormwater MasterplanWe’re so excited to be building this extraordinary place in Omaha, Nebraska. The project recently won an ALSA-NCC Honor Award and is also the winner in the Green Infrastructure Project category of the 2020 American Planning Association Sustainable Communities Division Awards for Excellence in Sustainability. The project defines and preserves approximately 150 acres of open space, with 14 miles of trails, and 13 iconic stormwater detention basins that cleanse water and mitigate flooding.

Livermore StationOur recent work at Livermore Station has been honored with a 2020 Preservation Design Award from the California Preservation Foundation. MSLA teamed with Page and Turnbull Architects on the relocation and rehabilitation of the historic depot. The renovation, part of the state’s rail transportation renaissance, reestablished Livermore’s connection to the greater Bay Area. The project also received the 2019 Governor’s Historic Preservation Award. Kudos to Page and Turnbull Architects and the City of Livermore.
